Lydia Chapman began her studies with a foundation year at Oxford Brookes University followed by a year at Edinburgh specialising in Fine Art Painting. She then spent four years at Charles H. Cecil studios in Florence where she developed her commitment to portraiture, learning the sight-size method used by the Old Masters.
